The Return of Nanogong: Sound Recording in Fayette's iSchool

When you open your Fayette's iSchool text editor these days (doesn't matter where -- forum, announcement, assignment, whatever), there's a new icon: Nanogong. Clicking it will give you a recorder, where you can record (rather than type) your contribution. Of course, you'll need a microphone! See the new entry in Teachers' FAQs for more.

Greetings!
       Here's help if you fail to log into Fayette's iSchool. We've also included helps for that common summer occurance, marriage! (Well, actually, name changes in general.)
       Remember...Fayette's iSchool does not keep passwords. That's the job of the Fayette Co. network. So your point of contact for this problem is the same as when you couldn't log into a school computer.

I used to be able to log in, but now I can't.
       Chances are your network password has expired. .

  • How do I know? If you're at school, any computer login will cause you to be promped. If not, try both Fayette's iSchool and SharePoint (http://sharepoint.fcps.net). If neither works, your password has probably expired.
  • But I can still log into email! Email is housed at Microsoft. Microsoft does not expire passwords, we do.
  • What should I do? If at school, <Ctrl><Alt><Del> and select "Change a password." If you can't get to school, contact your school tech coordinator, or the FCPS Tech Help Desk (859-381-4718). DO NOT CHANGE IT THROUGH EMAIL! Again, since email is housed elsewhere, that password change will not help. (A local password change will make the trip to Microsoft, but not the other way 'round.)

My name has changed.
       First of all, since this usually happens 'cause you just got married, congratulations! (If not, oops!) Your first order of business, of course, is to contact your tech coordinator, or the FCPS Tech Help Desk (859-381-4718), who will change your name and email address for you.
       After that's taken care of, do not attempt to log into Fayette's iSchool with that new email address. It will work, but It will simply create a new account there, and then you'll have two. Notify us immediately, and we'll make the change in iSchool for you.

       In all cases, contact us if things aren't made right.
